Stephanie received her Bachelor of Science degree in Legal Studies from Utah Valley University in 2005. In 2008, she graduated from the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah, where she served as Vice President of the Women's Law Caucus, participated in moot court competitions, and received high honors for her academic achievements in estate planning. Under the direction of Paul Amann, Assistant Utah Attorney General, Stephanie participated in revising a portion of the Utah Code and increasing protection Utah's children. While in law school, she completed an internship with the Utah Attorney General's Office. She also interned at Utah Legal Services with the Senior Lawyer Volunteer Project, where she assisted low income elderly individuals with their legal needs.
After graduating from law school, Stephanie practiced law in Las Vegas, Nevada at a boutique estate planning, guardianship and probate litigation firm. In August of 2009, after returning to Utah and opening her own practice, Stephanie accepted an invitation to join Fillmore Spencer.
Stephanie specializes in protecting her clients assets from unnecessary taxes, avoiding probate, appointing guardians for minor children, structuring bequests, and protecting assets. Additionally, as a part of her probate practice, Stephanie represents both the petitioner and the protected person in guardianship and conservatorship matters.
